The 16th June 2012 is Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust’s annual 5k sponsored walk. The aim of the walk is to increase awareness and raise vital funds for the charity. It is also a chance to celebrate life and to remember all those who have lost their battle with cervical cancer.
Jo’s Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to women and their families affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities. Their aim is to offer information, support and friendship to women of all ages, to help them to understand the importance of cervical screening, and to provide their own personal brand of support if their screening shows up abnormalities or if they are diagnosed with cancer.
This year there are 8 walks across the UK to choose from. Pelican Feminine Healthcare are proud to be a part of it and are the Walk Co-ordinators for the event in Cardiff. The Cardiff Walk for Fun is being held at Roath Park and registration is at 10am.
